As the Year of the Tiger began, top car model Zhai Ling (nickname Shoushou) threw a bomb into the entertainment field when several indecent/obscene videos purportedly featuring her appeared on the Internet.

Most news reports have claimed that the Shoushou Gate photos and videos were released by her ex-boyfriend nicknamed "No Screwdriver" in revenge.
Yesterday a news story appeared on the Internet: "Some media claimed to have information from a good friend of Shoushou that she took an overdose of sleeping pills due to the pressure from Shoushou Gate and is currently hospitalized." But this news was quickly denied by her model agency: "We don't know about this. This cannot be true. This is just an Internet rumor."

Yesterday morning, Car model Shoushou broke her silence through her blog. She wrote: "Everything is fine with me. I did not commit suicide. I think everybody knows who has that video. The person who uploaded the video has broken the law and will have to face the legal consequences ... I am the biggest victim in the affair. I hope that you all can respect my feelings and not hurt me anymore. I hope that those netizens with a sense of justice to condemn the person who leaked and uploaded the video."

The Chinese police reminds people about how to protect themselves against invasion of privacy:

1. Please be care about where you keep your personal photos/videos. Three are many tools which people can use to pry into computers without permission. Therefore, women should be especially careful about where to keep their personal photos/videos.

2. Please be wary of Internet microphones/cameras. Some people are using these equipment to pry into the private lives of others without their knowledge.

Angelica is teary-eyed on big day

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian actress-singer Angelica Lee Sin Jie has revealed that she was moved to tears during her wedding on Saturday.

“I was moved to tears when my parents put on the veil for me,” she told Sin Chew Daily in an interview after marrying Hong Kong film director Oxide Pang Chun.

“I was also very touched when I said I do, I cried when I served tea to my mentor Sylvia Chang Ai Jia when the latter told Pang that ‘I am handing over my good daughter to you’,’’ she said.

Pang proposed to Angelica last year. They had dated for seven years.

Loving family: Newly-weds Angelica and Pang posing with the groom’s daughter from his previous marriage.

The couple’s marriage was held at the luxurious Pangkor Laut Resort.

It was reported by the Chinese press that the ceremony started at 10am when 44-year-old Pang, his best man Aaron Kwok and brothers, all dressed in white, climbed stairs midway to the hill and took a gold-coloured MPV to the hill top suite where the bride was.

Pang went through several rounds of “tests” before the door was opened for him to receive the bride.

The couple had a tea ceremony, exchanged rings and wedding vows.

The private ceremony was attended by relatives, family members and close friends, including those from the entertainment circle — Sylvia Chang, Gigi Leung, Charlie Yeung, director You Fan and others.

Also present was Pang’s 10-year-old daughter from his previous marriage.

China Press quoted a staff member from the resort who said the wedding expenses exceeded RM350,000.

Angelica’s father, Lee Chiok San said the wedding expenses exceeded RM100,000 and Pang put up the bill.

Security personnel, who were on a speed boat, also advised members of the media awaiting at nearby waters to leave.

The beach and sea area near Emerald Bay where the wedding dinner was held was also cordoned off.

Potted plants and giant palm leaves were used to “shield” the area and block photographers from taking shots from a speed boat.

To ensure privacy for the wedding, the couple also banned guests not to reveal details of the ceremony.

Angelica won the Best Newcomer Award at the Berlin Film Festival in 2001, Best Actress at the Golden Horse Award in 2002 for the hit horror movie, The Eye.

Bra firm sues pants off Beyonce

An undies designer is suing Beyonce for a share of the booty from her new hit single after claiming she copied his knickers for her video.

Award-winning Bulgarian lingerie designer Iskren Lozanov says the Picasso-inspired undies the star wears in Video Phone are a dead ringer for underwear he designed last year.

Now his bosses at Triumph underwear are suing the pants off Beyonce's record label next month for breach of copyright.

Triumph and the star's label Sony are to appear at Munich's High Court in Germany on February 11 to let judges get to the bottom of the row.

The underwear giants have also taken a restraining order out to prevent the Video Phone video being shown on German TV, say reports.

Lozanov said: "My collection was based on Picasso's painting 'Girl In Front of a Mirror' and it would be just beyond belief for someone else to have had exactly the same idea and inspiration separately."

"I tried writing to Sony to ask them to just acknowledge my work and they did not even bother to send me a reply.

"So now we should let a judge decide who took what," he added.

Independent observers say there is an astonishing similarity between Lozanov's undies and the revealing lingerie being worn by Beyonce in her single with Lady Gaga.

In an eccentric and exciting review show in Hilton hotel, the Bulgarian "Triumph Inspiration Award" 2009 finalist was chosen. The designer's creation "Day and night" of the winner Iskren Lozanov has been inspired by 20th century art genius Pablo Picasso.

Lozanov's abstract designs won a major prize in last year's underwear Oscars held by manufacturers Triumph in Milan, Italy.

"He is a gifted, inspirational designer. Beyonce would feel exactly the same if someone stole one of her songs," confided a fellow designer.
